A KIT WITH OPTIONS !
This is a kit that can be used to model many types of trailers. Molded as a 'flat' type kit, it is easy to assemble as a standard 40 foot box van, or you can use your creativety to produce many other types of trailers. Some ideas would be; 45' rib side trailers; 48' ribside trailers, 53' rib side trailers, flatbed trailers in ANY length; rib side Grain trailers, Open Top woodchip trailers; Canvas covered 'Pup' trailers and open top vans; Drop Frame flat bed trailers.............The kit is so easy to work with, you'll end up wanting to make several different types of trailers. The Atlas ASSEMBLED wheelsets are an easy attachment. The parts can also be assembled and attached to the Athearn Box van chasis for Rib sided box vans or refrigerated trucks of various lengths. A good source of protoytype photos for Ideas is located at Hanks Truck Pictires. Many Railroad photos of Rid sided trailers are located at the Fallen Flags Photo site, as well as websites of Histrorical Societies. The Soo Line Historical & Technical Society is one such example that provides great examples of Rib side trailer schemes. At their site click on PUBLICATIONS and then click on TOFC DRAWINGS, for some great drawings. Soo Line DECALS are produced by Micro-Scale.
